Huang attended Yixian Elementary School and later applied to Hua Gang Arts School in Taipei, where he was admitted to the drama department. During his junior high years, his father considered developing his skills as a professional golfer. Huang obtained a lifeguard license at 18 and qualified as a swimming coach by 20. In 2011, a health check revealed a hereditary family history of kidney disease, which exempted him from military service.
While in high school, Huang was invited to a casting training class for the film "Blue Gate," although he did not appear in it. He was discovered by a talent agent and made his debut at 18. After leaving the group Wanzi, Huang formed a band called "Speedball," recorded albums, and performed on the streets.
In addition to his music career, he published his first illustrated collection, "What’s Going On?!," in 2006. On September 11, 2009, he launched his fashion brand "Alien Evolution Studio," which included a store in Taipei's East District.
On the morning of September 16, 2020, Huang's father visited his home and, after receiving no response, found him unresponsive at the door. Emergency services were notified, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner later determined the cause of death to be aortic dissection and vascular blockage, leading to cardiogenic shock.
