In 2019, Bai made his first appearance in CCTV’s Spring Gala, performing the song item “Child of Generation”. The same year, he starred in the republican era drama “Detective Li” for which he got the Best Actor nomination for the Golden Bud-The Fourth Network Film and Television Festival. He was also featured in the family drama “Looking Up” which earned him the ‘Breakthrough Film Actor’ at the Tencent Vido All Star Awards as well as the award for ‘Film Actor of the Year’ at the Tencent Entertainment White Paper.
On March 16, 2019, he was voted 48th in the 100 most handsome faces in LikeTCCAsia Asia Pacific . On August 20, 2019, Bai Yu ranked 36th in the Forbes China 100 Celebrity List.
