Marius Julius Seiryuu Schmich Yo, better known as Marius Yo, is a Japanese singer, songwriter, actor, and talent working under Johnny & Associates. He was born in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and moved to Japan at age of 11, when he joined the boy band 'Sexy Zone', being the youngest talent of Johnny and Associates to debut when Sexy Zone was announced as a group in a press conference on September 29, 2011. His father is German and his mother, Yo Akira (燁明), is Taiwanese, but raised in Japan. His maternal grandparents are Taiwanese, while his mother is also a former member of Takarazuka Revue, a Japanese all-female musical theatre troupe. He has two older siblings, Marilena and Max. On December 2, 2020 it announced that Marius Yo will be temporarily halting his activities due to his poor health.
