Hsu Hua Feng, also known by her English name Mary Hsu, was a Taiwanese actress. She was discovered after competing in a beauty competition in 1989. Hsu soon established herself in show business, becoming a regular on television in 1990s. In the early 2000s, she appeared in "Meteor Garden" (2001), "Seventh Grade" (2003), "Top on the Forbidden City" (2004), and "Love Contract" (2004). In January 2008, Hsu was diagnosed with stage three stomach cancer. She underwent a gastrectomy, and had chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments for a year. In 2009, she married businessman Tang Wei Shi after a five year relationship. Hsu's condition rapidly deteriorated after her cancer returned in December 2011.
