Kang Seung Yeon is a South Korean singer and actress. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Applied Music from Baekseok Arts University. She was a trainee and was expected to debut as a member of a girl group but, in 2018, she participated in "Korea Sings" and won the top prize in her region singing trot music. She became interested in the genre and, the following year, she entered "Miss Trot Season 1" and finished in the Top-16.
