Calvin Chen, a Taiwanese entertainer, rose to prominence by winning the Sunshine Boyz competition in Vancouver, Canada in 2004, marking the start of his career. He is also known as a member of the Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit (飛輪海). Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Chen attended various elementary schools including Wugu, Ximen, and Mingde. He later studied at Taipei Municipal Mingde Junior High School and Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School. In 1999, he pursued economics at Simon Fraser University in Canada, where he also completed a master's degree and served as a teaching assistant at the University of Victoria.
