Tanaka Minami is a Japanese announcer and actress born in New York City, US, and was given the middle name of Amy. Soon after her birth, her family moved to Japan but after her first year in elementary school, she lived in London and San Francisco before returning to Japan for junior high school. She attended Aoyama Gakuin University Department of English Literature, where she also played tennis. She also worked as a model for fashion magazines and posters.
