Tamura Masakazu, born in Setagaya and died in Minato, was a Japanese actor. He was the third actor from the acting trio "The Three Tamura Brothers", alongside his brothers Takahiro and Ryo. His half-brother is actor Mizukami Yasuhiro. In 1961, he signed an exclusive contract and debuted in his first movie role with "Immortal Love". He continued acting for some time while simultaneously attending school. The 1970 series "Winter Journey" helped to ignite his popularity while the historical series "Nemuri Kyoshiro" helped it grow. He's notable for his appearance through the years in multiple TV series and specials under the "Furuhata Ninzaburo" title. He's won the best actor award multiple times over the years with two coming from two seasons of "Furuhata Ninzaburo". On April 3, 2021, he died of heart failure at the age of 77 in Minato, Tokyo.
