Su Ming Ming is a Taiwanese actress who was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. After graduating from the Film and Television Department of Youth High School, she joined the actor training class jointly organized by China Film and Yongsheng Company. In the early days, she starred in many movies under the stage name "Mingming". Her first work "The Story of a Female Worker" won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 1978 Panama Film Festival. In 1987, she became well-known to the Taiwanese audience for her role in the emotional drama "Han Jun Ming Zhu". She was nominated the best supporting actress in 1985 for "Super Citizen Ko", and again in 2011 for "The Blue Bird of Happiness". In 1996, she married director Wan Jen and faded out of showbiz. They have a son. Ten years later, in 2006, she made a comeback to shoot film and TV works, but mostly supporting roles. Occasionally, she would make cameo appearances in her husband's works.
