Park Hyun Chul, formerly known as Karam, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and member of THE BOSS (DGNA in South Korea and Daikoku Danji in Japan). He graduated from Cheongdam High School, obtained a bachelor's degree from Sehan University, and was enrolled in a master's program in Performing Arts at Dankook University, though he is currently on leave. He debuted in 2008 with the group XING under the stage name Rising, joining as part of the 3rd generation. XING disbanded in late 2009. In 2010, he re-debuted with THE BOSS as the lead dancer and sub-vocalist with their song “Admiring Boy.” The group initially promoted in Japan before returning to South Korea in late 2011, following their agency's strategy of prioritizing Japan. Promotions alternated between the two countries until 2015 when their agency went bankrupt, leading them to return to XING Entertainment. In 2023, during the competition "Peak Time," he faced controversy when old pictures of him smoking, dancing in nightclubs, and celebrating the birthday of a Japanese AV actress were posted online. He left the show to avoid further negative attention.
