Nam Ji Hyun is a South Korean idol singer, dancer, and actress. She was the leader of the popular girl group, 4Minute, formed by Cube Entertainment in 2009. She is currently attending Sangmyung University, Dance Major specifically in ballet. Ji Hyun was a trainee from JYP Entertainment for 2 years but then ended up on Cube Entertainment. After entering the company, she joined and became the leader, vocalist and the lead dancer of 4Minute. Until her debut with the group, Ji Hyun had been the purest member and hadn’t done any CFs or advertisements. 4Minute disbanded after 7 years when their contract with Cube Entertainment ended on June 15, 2016. On September 30th, 2016 she signed an exclusive contract with agency, Artist Company founded by actors Jung Woo Sung and Lee Jung Jae. In December 2017, Artist Company announced that she had changed her name to Son Ji Hyun and began promoting as rookie actress taking on her mother’s surname. On December 28, 2021 FN Entertainment announced that they’ve signed an exclusive contract with her. She will now return to promoting with the name Nam Ji Hyun.
