Kung graduated from St. Paul's Convent School and New Method College in 1978, without attending the affiliated secondary school, St. Paul's College. After completing Form 6, she entered the workforce and learned secretarial skills, eventually working as a secretary for a senior barrister. In 1984, she joined the TVB Artist Training Class after a short course of three months. Before joining TVB, she had participated in the filming of the Hong Kong Radio program "Banana Boat," where she served as "Banana Sister". Wanting to improve her acting skills, she attended the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and also went to Taiwan and Malaysia to film local TV dramas. In 2002, she returned to Hong Kong and rejoined TVB in 2018. In 1999, she registered her marriage with actor and singer Lam Wai in Toronto, Canada. They have a son and a daughter. Lam Wai is her second husband; her first marriage with businessman Michael Fok ended in divorce in the 1990s after she discovered his extramarital affair. In September 2019, Mimi Kung admitted to having been separated from her husband Lam Wai for two years and was in the process of divorce. (Source: MyDramaList) Watch drama online for free.
