Mikami Kan is a Japanese folk singer, poet, and actor born in Kodomari Village in Aomori Prefecture (now Nakadomari Town) on March 20, 1950. He comes from a family of fisherman. During his time at Aomori's Goshogawara High School, he served as the student council president. At that time, he also formed a band that did covers of popular bands like The Tigers.
