Joel Chan is a Hongkongese actor and singer. He is currently under contract with TVB and the Shaw Brothers. He was born in Macau and graduated from the Baptist Lui Ming Choi Primary School and the New Life Education Association Lui Kwok Pat Fong Middle School. Joel tried various jobs, including working in a vintage clothing store and later becoming a design assistant for a fashion designer. Despite facing setbacks, he persevered and eventually entered TVB in 2000. His breakthrough came in 2017 with the series "Legal Mavericks," for which he won the "Best Supporting Actor" award at the 2017 TVB Anniversary Awards. In 2021, Joel Chan transitioned from a management contract to an in-house contract with TVB. In 2022, he won the "Favourite Actor (Television Drama)" award at the AEG Entertainment Popularity Awards.
