Ito Ayumi, born April 14, 1980 in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese actress who received her big break in 1996, when she was cast as the central character of Ageha in Iwai Shunji's hit movie, Swallowtail Butterfly. The following year, she won her first Japanese Academy Award for 'Rookie of the Year'. She would go on to star in many movies, and receive much critical praise for her acting. For a short time, she was the lead vocalist in the all-girl rock band Mean Machine, along with YUKI and Chara. She recently had her seiy? debut as the voice of Tifa Lockhart in Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, and a cameo as the same character in Kingdom Hearts II and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.
