Hyuk is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a member of the South Korean group VIXX under Jellyfish Entertainment. Born in Daejeon, South Korea. Hyuk has one older sister. He studied at the Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts. Hyuk was one of ten trainees who were contestants in Mnet's survival reality show "MyDOL" and was chosen to be a part of the final line-up the 6-member boy group finally debuted with "Super Hero" on May 24, 2012, on M! Countdown. He began his acting career in 2016 in the comedy-action film "Chasing". He released his first solo single on January 12, 2019, titled "Boy with a Star". On June 2, 2022, he announced his departure from Jellyfish Entertainment after 10 years. On May 22, 2023, it was announced that he signed with the newly-established company Companion Company.
