Erek Lin is a Taiwanese actor who debuted with his role as Jay Lee in the movie Starry Starry Night. Despite winning the Best New Actor Award at the Taipei Film Festival for this role, he followed the advice of his agent to avoid being a child star and focused on his studies in the years that followed. On his school vacations however, he still participated in the theater and various movie shootings, as he was worried about missing opportunities to return to the screen.
